Penn Dixie 2016 Events

Penn Dixie offers the opportunity to collect fossils plus there are astronomy, birding, cross country skiing and other events.

Fossil Collecting- Adults 9, Children 3-12 – $7, children 2 and under are free.

June 11 – Sepember 6 – Monday – Friday – 9am to 5pm

May 21 – 9am to 5pm- Dig with the Experts- Generated $32,000 in tourism dollars

June 5 – 1-4pm – Children’s Day

June 12 – 8:30am to Noon – Penn Dixie Nature Cruise

June 26 -11am – 4pm-Trucks and Bikes Event

August 13 – 5-11pm – Mid Summer Night Adventure

September 10 – Noon t0 4pm – Engineering Workshop and Dig for Kids (free for grandparents)

October 8 – 9am to 4pm – Earth  Science Day

November 3 -6-9pm – Penn Dixie Fundraiser

February 18 – 7pm – New Horizons to Pluto -at Gateway Exec Office, 3556 Lake Shore Rd. Blasdell

March 16 – 7pm – 20 Years of Collecting Dinos in South Dakota – Gateway Exec Office

April 21- 7pm – Geology of National Parks by Phil Stokes

May 20 – 7pm – Fossil Fish of the Lost Lake, Wyoming  by Joe PaleoJoe

April 9 – 7:30pm – Bee Hive Cluster M44, plus Jupiter in the East

April 20- 7:30pm – Williamsville North Planetarium Show

May 9 – 7am to 3pm – Transit of Mercury

May 14 – 7:30pm – Jupiter, Leo the Lion, 77% full Waxing Gibbous Moon and the Bee Hive cluster M44

June 11 – 7:30pm – Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Globular cluster in Hercules

July 30 – 7:30pm – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn

August 13 – 5pm-Summer Nights Adventure

September  10- 6pm -Saturn, constellation Scorpius, Mars, 61% Waxing Gibbous Moon

October 8 – 7pm – Venus, Saturan, Mars, and more
