Buffalo Geological Society Banquet – May 5, 2017- Buffalo, NY

The Buffalo Geological Society Banquet is  May 5 with appetizers at 6pm, dinner at 7pm and 8pm is the program. For members only and the cost is $20 and is being held at Classics V at 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst, NY.

The speaker is Josh Teeter who will speak on the Geologic Formation of the Finger Lakes  highlighting the unique combination of major geologic events beginning some 400 million years ago up to the present day that have led to the formation of the Finger Lakes Region, its lakes, gorges and waterfalls.

Josh Teeter is an Environmental Educator with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.  He is the Finger Lakes Region FORCES (Friends of Recreation, Conservation and Environmental Stewardship) Program Manager.
